• Green Level - Helper with very little or no experience. Apprentice tools and all personal protective equipment required. Able to identify basic electrical tools and materials, knows safety and hazcom rules and policies. Able to bend EMT, PVC and install basic trim (recep.,switches). Able to assist with pulling wire, use of power puller. SAFETY! SAFETY! SAFETY!
• Blue Level - Mechanic with all prior requirements. Understands wire splicing for single phase and three phase circuits. Install light fixtures. Rough pipe and wiring. Understands basic circuitry. N.E.C. Code Book Mandatory and have basic knowledge of N.E.C. Electric Benders. Reads blueprints. Layout basic branch rough. Understands electrical symbols. Wire A/C units, thermostats, install disconnects. Assist installation of temporary power. Ability to install Romex, Greenfield, BX Cable, Sealtight. Pull branch circuits with minimum supervision. Working well with others, thinking ahead.
• Orange Level - Mechanic/Leadman with all prior requirements. Layout own work. Minimal supervision. Branch slab layout. Site Lighting. Taking lead in production and assisting with N.E.C code requirements for all rough installations (conduit, boxes, straps, supports, depths below finish grade, conduit fill). Use of hydraulic benders. Understand branch and feeder protection, circuitry, termination. Make up panels single phase, three phase and transformers. Build complete services. Layout equipment rooms according to shop drawings. Work with bare minimum supervision. Take lead role with other personnel with less classification.
• Yellow Level - Leadman/foreman with Journeyman License and all prior requirements. Qualified electrician able to install all electrical installations according to N.E.C and local codes. Responsible for crew production and perofrmance. Able to plan material requirements for duties assigned, in advance. Capable of doing the following: fire alarms, A/C Controls, generator systems, switchboards. Take lead position for projects. Review of specifications, plans, submittals, shop drawings. Basic knowledge of management as per Sunshine State Electric. Completely responsible to and for all actions of personnel assigned, their work installed, and progress. Preparing as-built drawings.
